Prairie Twilight Beardtongue is a compact herbaceous perennial with the upper lance-shaped foliage turning bronze red in fall and sturdy, upright dark stems. Airy panicles of small tubular dusky rose-pink to lavender flowers with a white throat and beard bloom in summer. Grows best in partial sun and dry to medium well-drained soil. Drought and heat tolerant.
