Allen Bush Green and Gold is a compact mat forming evergreen perennial and toothed bright green foliage. The star shaped bright yellow flowers bloom heavily from mid spring into mid fall. Best bloom in dappled sun and moist acidic well-drained soils. Allen Bush is drought tolerant once established and more pest resistant.
Chrysogonum virginianum attracts various bees and butterflies, and while the seeds ae eaten by songbirds the foliage is left alone by deer and other herbivores.
