Monrovia® Cape May Hydrangea is a compact reblooming deciduous shrub with serrated dark green leaves that has a bronze fall color. Its abundant lacecap panicles that bloom throughout summer have large outer flowers with tiny central blooms with color that depends on the PH of the soil- violet blue in acidic soils and pink tones in more neutral or alkaline soils. The flowers attract butterflies and pollinators. Best bloom in partial sun and rich, moist well-drained soils. The Seaside Serenade series is a Monrovia exclusive that has longer lasting blooms and extra sturdy stems, and resists sun scorching.
