Zephyranthes flavissima is a small bulbous perennial in the Amaryllidaceae family (the same family as daffodils and amaryllis) that produces upright, golden-yellow, star-shaped flowers above slender, grass-like foliage. The blooms often appear after rain or heavy watering, which is why it’s commonly called a rain lily. Flowers best in full sun and moist well-drained soils. Drought tolerant once established.
