Leatherleaf Viburnum is a multi-stemmed evergreen shrub that has long, strongly textured leathery dark green foliage with pale brown undersides.  On female plants, the large flattened clusters of white flowers in spring give way to showy fruits that begin red and mature to black as they ripen.  The showy berries last into winter.  Flowers best in evenly moist well-drained soils.
