Arrowwood is a multi-stemmed native deciduous shrub with an upright-rouned habit.  Its glossy, toothed dark green foliage has a fall color that varies from drab yellow to attractive shades of orange or red. Flat-topped clusters of white flowers bloom in late spring and are followed by blue-black drupes that persist in winter.   Flowers best in loamy, moist well-drained soils.  Drought tolerant once established.

Viburnum dentatum also acts as a host for the Spring Azure butterfly.
