Evening Light Japanese Snowbell is a compact deciduous flowering tree with an upright habit, low branching oval grown, and smooth grey bark that fissures as it matures. Its elliptical maroon green foliage emerges dark purple and may earn light shades of yellow or red in fall. Evening Lights extremely fragrant clusters of pure white pendular bell-shaped flowers on red stems bloom in late spring and early summer and may experience a fall bloom with adequate moisture. Grows best in full sun and rich, well-drained acidic soil.
