Riptide Stokes’ Aster is a native evergreen perennial with dark green foliage that forms a denes mound. Fluffy cornflower-like l periwinkle blue flowers bloom on erect leafy stems from mid summer into fall. Grows best with full sun and well-drained soils. Deadheading individual spent flowers and spent stems can encourage additional blooms. Good drought and heat tolerance.
Stokesia laevis are a native host plant for several moths and butterflies, notably the Swallowtail Butterfly.
