Mel's Blue Stokes’ Aster is a compact native evergreen perennial with an upright rounded habit and deep green foliage. Fluffy, cornflower-like periwinkle blue flowers bloom continuously from mid to late summer. Grows best with full sun and well-drained soils. Good drought and heat tolerance.
Stokesia laevis are a native host plant for several moths and butterflies, notably the Swallowtail Butterfly.
