Roman Red Salvia is a compact perennial with a semi-mounded habit and rich green foliage. Long upright flower spikes sport clusters of bright red tubular flowers with deep red calyxes that bloom from late spring until frost. The flowers are highly attractive to hummingbirds and butterflies. Flowers best in full sun and moist well-drained soils. Very drought tolerance once established.
