Jewel Raspberry is a compact thorny deciduous shrub with an upright habit primarily grown for its large edible fruit. The small white flowers bloom in spring attracting butterflies and give way in abundance to very large rounded raspberries that start red and deepen to near-black with maturity. Grows best in full sun and rich, moist, slightly acidic well-drained soils. Jewel is self polinating.
