Canby Raspberry (Rubus idaeus 'Canby') is a classic summer-bearing red raspberry known for its large, sweet berries and nearly thornless canes, which make harvesting much easier than many other raspberry varieties. The plants produce vigorous upright canes and a heavy crop of bright red fruit in early to mid-summer.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Medium Maintenance. Intolerant of wet soils- can lead to root rot. Prune fruiting canes and weak canes immediately after fruiting, and as needed in winter. Remove suckers and trimmings to prevent rooting. Anthracnose, botrytis and root rot can be serious problems. Cane and crown borers are potential serious pests.
