Moonglow Pear is a fast-growing deciduous tree with an upright habit and attractive spring flower display but primarily grown for its crop of large late summer fruit. Clusters of fragrant of creamy white flowers in mid spring attract butterflies. The large aromatic yellow fruits have a bold blush with soft juicy flesh with a sweet mild flavor. Grows best in full sun and rich, moist well-drained soils. Orient has improved resistance to fire blight, needs a cross-pollinator, and has a chill requirement of 700 hours.
