Snowdrift Pieris is a spreading evergreen shrub with glossy deep green foliage that emerges reddish-bronze. A strong spring bloomer with clusters of 'more erect' panicles holding dangling snow white bell-like flowers with a particularly heavy bloom in early spring. Best bloom in part sun with slightly acidic and moist well-drained soils.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: High Maintenance. Water regularly. Remove spent flowers immediately. Lace bug infections can be a serious problem. Watch for scale, mites, and nematodes. Dieback and leaf spots are occasional problems.
