Scarlet O'Hara Andromeda is an upright evergreen shrub with glossy deep green foliage that emerges blazing scarlet. The drooping clusters of snowy white bell-flowers bloom on pink stems as the new growth emerges in spring. Best bloom in part sun with slightly acidic and moist well-drained soils.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: High Maintenance. Water regularly. Remove spent flowers immediately. Lace bug infections can be a serious problem. Watch for scale, mites, and nematodes. Dieback and leaf spots are occasional problems.
