Trees that are sized by height or caliper are delivered with a large root ball wrapped in burlap. They require heavy equipment to install. We recommend working with a contractor for installation! They can also provide the equipment necessary for offloading the tree upon delivery. We will coordinate delivery with you so that your contractor has equipment ready upon your trees arrival! Green Gable Black Gum is a slow-growing pyramidal deciduous tree that is native to the south east.  The lightly toothed shiny dark green foliage turns brilliant orange and reds in fall.  Though dioecious there are often perfect flowers as well, which are clusters a small non-showy greenish-white.  Excellent source of nectar for pollinators. Flowers give way to blue-black berries in fall.  Best grown in part sun and well-drained soils.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance.  Scale, rust, canker, and leaf spots can be occasional problems.  Can tolerate both standing water and some drought.
