Rose Bee Balm is a compact native herbaceous perennial with aromatic toothed very dark green foliage. The abundant intensely pink fringe like flowers blooms in whorls at the top of the thick stems from late spring into summer attracting bees and butterflies. Best in full sun and well-drained soil. Mildew resistant variety.
Monarda didyma is a native host for several moths, including Gray Marvel and Hermit Sphinx. The flower nectar also attracts other pollinators, bees, butterflies, and the Ruby-Throated hummingbird.
