Rooster Red Crape Myrtle is a mid-sized shrub with an upright habit. The disease-resistant foliage emerges a maroon-red and matures to a dark green throughout summer. The large panicles of bright red flowers bloom early in summer and will bloom again later in summer if the first flush of flowers is deadheaded. Prefers full sun and moist, well-drained soil.
