Center Stage Red Crape Myrtle is an upright deciduous shrub with an arching crown and exfoliating bark.  The dramatic black leaves on dark purple stems are contrasted by the heavy blooms of glowing red panicles that bloom all summer.  Best color in full sun and rich, well-drained acidic soil.  Center Stage Red has excellent disease resistance.
