Parris Island Cos Lettuce is an edible cold-season leafy annual herb that forms an upright rosette of lightly ruffled spoon-shaped foliage that have dark gray-green outer leaves and a pale green to cream heart. The crunchy sweet leaves have a higher nutrition than iceberg. Grows best in partial sun and fertile well-drained soils. Parris Island Cos has improved heat resistance and tip burn, and is tolerant to Mosaic virus.
