Corkscrew Rush is a grass-like wetland perennial with distinctive cylindrical non-jointed stems that are tightly spiraled and uncoil as they grow to spread in every directionThe flowers and seedpods are inconspicuous.  Best in full sun and moist to wet well-drained soils.  Though it looks coarse, the stems are soft to the touch.
