Sky Pencil Japanese Holly is a slow-growing evergreen shrub with an exceedingly narrow upright habit and small dark green spineless leaves.  If pollinated, the inconspicuous flowers in spring to give way to small purple fruits in fall which last through winter.  Best planted in moist, slightly acidic well-drained soils.  Hollies are dioecious and need both male and female plants to produce fruit.

Much smaller than the website said they would be

"We bought 2 Sky Pencil Hollys at the 7 gallon size. The website size chart said those would be 48''-60''. The 2 we received measured 44'' and 42''. Considering the 5 gallon size is supposed to be 36''-54'', we felt sort of cheated, I reached out to ServeScape and they said they wouldn't honor what size they show on their website. They said that the sizes are "estimates. " Incredibly disappointed. We've ordered around 30 trees and plants from ServeScape and have always had great customer service. Not the case this time. I guess buyer beware when looking at the sizes they describe on their size charts."

"My entire experience with ServeScape was incredible! I wish I had found them sooner. I knew a place like this had to exist. It just made sense. Before finding ServeScape, I spent a lot of time, a lot of money and a lot of unnecessary trips in the car trying trying to avoid delivery fees (I know, I'm that guy) to find what I was looking for. It was a big opportunity cost for me. No disrespect to the competition because there are some really good ones out there and they play a role for community ... but ... You can also clearly see what is in stock so there are no bad surprises when you get to the end and try and check out and get disappointed. I spoke with Mario and Mike, they really were so easy to work with, they were fast, the quality was really good, the price was competitive (and better than many of the traditional online companies) and they managed my expectations along the way. The delivery team were great, clean, helpful, accurate and paid attention to detail (again, I know I'm that guy). I highly recommend ServeScape!"
