Schillings Yapon Holly is a very dense slow-growing dwarf native evergreen shrub with fine dark green leaves. Schillings is a heavily flowered male cultivar that makes it a popular pollinator. Best planted in moist, slightly acidic well-drained soils. Hollies are dioecious and need both male and female plants to produce fruit.
