Logo

Dear Dolores Hydrangea is a compact, fast growing deciduous shrub that blooms on both old and new wood.  Its glossy, serrated bright green leaves turn yellow in fall.  The color of the large rounded panicles of mophead flowers depends on the soil PH and can transition between varying shades of pastel - more pink tones flowers are produced in alkaline soils, while acidic soils produce more blue tones.  The flowers open green to white and gain its color through summer and can be a blend of colors in more neutral soils.  Best bloom in partial sun and rich, moist well-drained soils.
