Fried Green Tomatoes Hosta is a shade-loving herbaceous perennial primarily grown for its foliage.  The large deeply veined basal leaves emerge dusty bright green and mature to glossy dark green.  Small fragrant bell-like near-white lavender flowers raise up in terminals from the rootstalk above the mound in mid summer attracting butterflies and pollinators.  Best color in partial sun and moist well-drained soils.  Fried Green Tomatoes is deer and slug resistant.
