Sweet Spice Gerbera is a compact perennial often grown as an annual with fuzzy dense foliage and vibrant flowers.  Large fuchsia flowers with dense double layered petals have a small white rim around yellow ring that drop to expose a deep brown eye bloom from late spring until frost with regular deadheading.  Prefers full sun and average  well-drained soil.  The Garvinea Series is hardier than most gerbera, being semi-evergreen and is highly resistant to disease and pests.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Low Maintenance.  Drainage is important- overly moist soils can lead to stem and root rot, powdery mildew, gray  mildew, or anthracnose.  Potential pests include whiteflies, aphids, thrips, and spider mites.
