Ruby Glow Wood Spurge is a compact evergreen perennial that grows in a mound with upright whorls of purple-black foliage on red stems that emerge ruby red. Inflorescences of tiny yellow flowers with bright chartreuse brackets that contrast against the foliage bloom from late spring into summer, attracting bees and butterflies. Best shape in full sun and dry, well-drained soils. Broken stems have a milky white sap that can cause significant skin irritation and is poisonous if ingested.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Wet soils, especially in winter, will kill the plant. Can tolerate shade, but will have clumping form. Use gloves when handling.
