Sparkling Burgundy Pineapple Lily is a dramatic upright herbaceous perennial with thick basal rosette foliage. The leaves emerge deep burgundy and matures to olive green before returning to burgundy as the flowers fade. The thick central flower stem that raises in summer is a matching purple and holds a bottle-brush raceme of smoky pink flowers attracting butterflies. Best bloom in full sun and rich, moist, well-drained soils.
