Tomato Soup Echinacea is a freely branching native perennial with strong upright stems that do not need staking and bright green foliage. The large fragrant flowers have slightly drooping tomato red petals and brown center cones and bloom from late spring and can sporadically continue to bloom until frost.  Thrives in full sun and well-drained soils.  The flowers attract butterflies and bees, and spent stems will stay erect and attract birds if not removed.  Drought tolerant.
