Shasta Gold Mandarin is a spring fruit-producing evergreen shrub with a dense crown and thorny foliage. The large easy to peal fruit are juicy with a rich sweet-tang flavor that has subtle pineapple-like nuances, and becomes sweeter throughout its season. Grows best in full sun and sandy to loamy well-drained acidic soils. Shasta Gold needs a pollinator to set fruit.
