Confucius Gold Hinoki Cypress is a variegated evergreen conifer tree with a refined pyramidal habit and aromatic gold-green scale-like foliage that emerges soft yellow and turns coppery-bronze in fall. It produces small green-brown(female) to orange-brown(male) cones depending on gender. Prefers full sun and moist well-drained soil.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Water regularly but needs well-drained soil. Juniper blight, root rot, and certain insect pests can be issues if soil to wet. Shelter from hard winds. In southern climates, young plants may burn with direct afternoon sun.
