Appalachian Sedge is a compact semi-evergreen native grass that grows in mounding tufts.  It's dense but soft-textured, weeping foliage is a mid-green. Scattered wisps of flowers grow above the foliage and attracts bees in late spring. Thrives in rich, moist well-drained soils.  Drought tolerant once established.  Can be used as turf replacement.
