Cane-like Begonia is are upright tropical perennials with  semi-woody stems resembling bamboo and pendulous clusters of flowers.  The large lop-eared foliage can be entire or toothed, and may have white splashes.  Flowers best in part shade and rich, moist well-drained soils.  White Cane is a white flowering hybrid.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low maintenance. Let soils dry between watering- wet soils can lead to root rot.  Susceptible to powdery mildew, stem rot, and  botrytis, especially in humid areas without air circulation.  Possible pests include whitefly, mites, thrips, and mealybugs.
