Black Velvet Begonia is a small mounding tropical perennial with hairy stems and dramatic velvety black-green foliage with a bright spot where the stem connects. The clusters of small red-pink flowers bloom in from late spring into summer. Flowers best in part shade and rich, moist well-drained soils.
