Bull's Blood Beets is a heirloom culinary annual primarily grown for its edible dark red foliage and sweet red roots.  The plant is fast grown and reaches maturity within one to two months.  Grows best in cool weather with full sun and rich light soils with good drainage.  Harvest times usually occur in late summer to mid fall.

Maintenance Needs:  Low maintenance plant.  No serious pests or diseases.  Beets may suffer from downy or powdery mildew, root rots, or leaf spots.  Watch for aphids, leaf miners, leafhoppers, and flea beetles.
