Regal Red Japanese Painted Fern is a striking high-colored deciduous fern. The fronds twist, giving it a ‘ruffled look’ and are a violet-red or bright red with metallic silver edging that continues the hand-painted appearance theme. Regal Red’s color intensifies the older it gets and keeps its fronds well into the fall. Its fronds have the best color in partial sun and rich, moist well-drained soils. Drought tolerant once established.
*Deciduous ferns may still be dormant until late spring. This will appear that we've delivered a pot full of dirt however a healthy robust fern is awaiting inside.
