Arendsii Autumn Monkshood, also known as Aconitum carmichaelii 'Arendsii', is a striking perennial plant that is known for its deep blue-purple flowers that bloom in the fall.
This variety of Monkshood typically grows to a height of 24-36 inches with a spread of around 12-18 inches. It prefers part shade to full sun and thrives best in well-drained, moist, fertile soils.
The flowers of Arendsii Autumn Monkshood appear in the fall and are loved by bees and butterflies, making this plant a great choice for a pollinator garden. The flowers also make excellent cut flowers for arrangements.
Like other Monkshoods, Arendsii Autumn Monkshood is a low-maintenance plant. However, it's important to note that all parts of the plant are toxic if ingested, so it should be planted in areas away from pets and children.
