Burgundy Belle Red Maple is a dense medium-sized deciduous tree with an oval canopy and brick red branches and leaf stems. The five-lobed dark green leaves turn magenta or violet-red early in fall and hold the color for weeks before the leaves drop. Inconcipcous spring flowers are followed by red samaras. Grows best in rich, moist, slightly acidic well-drained soils.
