The Waterfall Japanese Maple, also known by its scientific name Acer palmatum 'Waterfall', is a deciduous tree native to Japan. It's known for its cascading growth habit and beautiful, finely cut leaves.
Here are some key features of the Waterfall Japanese Maple:
-
Foliage: The leaves are finely cut into narrow lobes, giving them a lace-like appearance. They are green in the summer and turn vibrant shades of yellow and gold in the fall.
-
Size: This tree typically grows to a height of 8-10 feet and spreads 10-12 feet wide. Its cascading branches give it a waterfall-like appearance, hence the name.
