Old Field Goldenrod is a small erect native herbaceous perennial with hairy stems and narrow grey-green foliage. The arching one-sided panicles of tiny bright yellow flowers bloom at the stem tops from late summer into fall attracting butterflies. Grows best with full sun and dry, slightly acidic well-drained soils.
