O So Very Tall Bearded Iris is a reblooming deciduous perennial with a clumping habit and long upwards fanning sword-like blue-green foliage. The rigid sturdy stalks that grow from the center of the plant are topped by fragrant blooms of deep near-black bearded flowers first in late spring and again in summer, attracting bees. Flowers best in full sun and rich, slightly acidic, moist well-drained soils. O So Very is drought tolerant once established.
