Ruby Sweet Plum is a semi-dwarf deciduous tree with a showy display of fragrant white flowers but is primarily grown for its mid-season fruit.  Its heavy bearing of ruby red fruits with melting red flesh with a sweet and juicy taste.  Grows best in full sun and rich, moist well-drained soils.  Ruby Sweet needs a pollinator to set fruit, but has modest chill requirements of only 400-600 hours and good disease resistance.
