White Bleeding Heart is a shade-loving herbaceous perennial with medium green compound leaves. Nodding puffed white heart shaped flowers with protruding white inner petals bloom on long leaning stems in spring before the foliage emerges. Flowers best in part shade and consistently moist rich well-drained acidic soils. Foliage goes dormant in summer.
