Asian Bleeding Heart is a shade-loving herbaceous perennial with medium green compound leaves. Nodding puffed rose-pink heart shaped flowers with protruding white inner petals bloom on long leaning stems in spring before the foliage emerges. Flowers best in part shade and consistently moist rich well-drained acidic soils. Foliage goes dormant in summer.
