Starship Blue Cardinal Flower is a compact upright native herbaceous perennial with a uniform habit and deep green foliage. Tall stalks of deep violet-blue tubular flowers bloom from mid summer into fall. Prefers afternoon shade and moist to wet well-drained soil. Foliage is toxic if ingested.
