Doozie Spirea is a compact upright mounding deciduous shrub with serrated leaves that emerge a blazing deep red and mature to medium green. Very showy and dense flat-topped clusters of glowing purple-red flowers bloom from late spring through summer. Grows best in full sun and well-drained soils. Drought tolerant once established, tolerates light shade.
