Semmes Hardy Bottlebrush is a dense tropical evergreen shrub with an upright growth habit and gently arching branches. Its small narrow blue-green leaves emerge coppery bronze and have a lemony scent when bruised. Showy, fluffy bright red ‘bottlebrush’ flowers bloom in summer and are highly attractive to hummingbirds and butterflies. Does best foliage in full sun and well-drained soil. Semmes Hardy have improved cold tolerance.
