Carnaby Clematis is a compact deciduous climbing perennial vine with medium green foliage that flowers on both new and old wood. The large creamy pink flowers with vivid pink bands and anthers bloom first heavily in early spring on old wood than again late summer on new wood. Prefers full sun and moist well-drained soil. Needs support.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Susceptible to wilt and stem rot, which can be fatal. Other potential diseases include powdery mildew, leaf spots, and rust. Potential insect pests include aphids, vine weevils, slugs/snails, scale and earwigs. Watch for spider mites. If possible, plant the roots in the area with afternoon shade and climb the foliage into full sun for best results.
