Japanese Flowering Crabapple is a flowering deciduous tree with a dense rounded crown and dark green foliage that turns red and yellow in fall. Abundant red buds open to fragrant pink flowers that quickly turn white and bloom in spring as the leaves emerge. Its small red blushed yellow fruits persist into fall. Grows best in full sun and well-drained soils. Has good disease resistance and air pollution tolerance.
