Byron Gold Plum is a small deciduous fruiting tree with a showy display of fragrant white flowers and great quality fruit. Its foliage turns bright yellow for fall. The heavy yield of medium plums are ready for harvest in early summer and mature with yellow flesh and skin that may take a red blush in later maturity with a crisp that is good fresh or used for cooking. Grows best in full sun and rich, moist well-drained soils. Bryon Gold can be pollinated by any plum and has a low chill requirement of 450 chill hours.
